Speedy progress at UKE
Even the most modern new built clinic was erected stone by stone, although in the shortest possible time. And so the committee of the doctors liked our idea to put this in scene symbolically. Tumbling acrobats are visualising the process of the construction process with letter cubes. Cubes with single letters are tranported dynamically with flic flacs and somersaults over an air-filled tumbling track and added together cube for cube to the name of the Medical Center.
The show concept was quickly accepted. For us however work just started. The German name of the hospital is not exactly short: “UKE - Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf“. This meant for us 38 cubes, blanks inclusive that shall be built up with acrobatic precision. We gladly accepted the challenge and the audience thanked with big applause, when the last cube was set exactly with the last beat of the music.
In addition, three of our Flying Drummers performed on high-speed winches with a velocity of 5m/sec. in the brandnew portal of 15 m height. The drums were marked wth a letter each of U-K-E, so that the concept of the show was illustrated stringently and excitingly.
